In 1973 Max founded EVES REALTY which became the largest and most successful real-estate company in the Bay of Plenty. Max spent many years creating a team of top performing Agents and held an unquestionable reputation for his professionalism. He stands proud of the legacy he built under his name and to this day EVES REALTY is a significant player in the industry.

Max went on and identified the Real Estate Group “The Professionals” while at Armadale University Australia, and in 1983 as the inaugural chairman, he expanded the company throughout the North and South Island of New Zealand.

In 1990 he came to Auckland taking up the role of Director and Principal Officer of the group then known as Harveys, being responsible for some 350 salespeople and managers under his licence of 12 years.

In 2007, Max and his late wife formed Benchmark Realty with close friend Fiona Milde. Together they saw an opportunity in the Auckland market to pioneer a personalised and boutique business for their clients. Max holds the position of Director, Branch Manager and Senior Sales Licensee and his illustrious and celebrated career has taken the company from strength to strength.

Throughout Max’s career he has taken on many advisory roles for the industry and has been on various committees spanning a period of 18 years.

Max was elected President of the Waikato/Bay of Plenty District Real Estate Institute of NZ in 1983 for a two-year term and in 1984 was elected to the National Body as a Counsellor of the Real Estate Institute of NZ for a six-year term. From this success, Max was appointed to the board of Directors of the Real Estate Corporation in 1989 for a two-year term and was nominated and elected to serve on the National Body of The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. His service and dedication to the real estate industry across New Zealand saw him elevated to the prestigious status of Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of NZ (FRIENZ) in 1982.

Max’s considerable success is a direct result of years of hard work, dedication, innovation and building lifelong relationships throughout the Real-estate community in both New Zealand and Australia.
